The Minnesota Recruiting and Staffing Association (MNRSA) will hold its 3rd annual Job Summit on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the MN School of Business in Richfield from 9am – 2pm. The Job Summit is an event aimed at helping Minnesota job seekers find jobs. Job seekers are invited to attend the Job Summit for free.
This year’s Job Summit will feature a staffing and recruiting job fair, resume writing workshops, practice interview sessions and speakers sharing job search tips.
Paul DeBettingies, who is currently on the list of Top 20 Minnesota Social Media Innovators and is invited to speak to groups across the nation regarding social media, will be presenting on effectively using social media in the job search at the Job Summit.
Joanne Meehl, also known as the Job Search Queen, will be returning to the Job Summit this year with a workshop titled, “Setting Your Job Search Motivation on Fire.” Meehl presented tips for smart networking to find a job last year and received rave reviews.
The Job Summit will also feature a panel of human resource representatives from some of the largest employers in Minnesota, including Wells Fargo, discussing how they work with staffing and recruiting companies to fill positions within their organizations.
In addition to activities for job seekers, the MNRSA has a drop-off location for its annual business clothing drive at this event. MNRSA will accept donations of gently used professional clothing for Ready for Success, a non-profit organization that provides low income individuals with professional attire for job interviews and the workplace.
Job seekers can register to attend the Job Summit for free on the MNRSA website at or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 46,971 individuals are employed by staffing and recruiting companies in Minnesota each day. MNRSA is the largest association of staffing and recruiting companies in the state of Minnesota. MNRSA member companies are all held to the highest standards of ethical practices and must abide by the MNRSA Code of Ethics. MNRSA encourages job seekers and companies working with staffing companies and recruiters in Minnesota to contact our Executive Director, Jackie Engmark, to learn if staffing companies and recruiters are members.
